Devendra Pratap Singh, Marketing and Control Officer at Delhi-based IR India Pvt Ltd., received information that salt is being sold by counterfeit branded companies. He complained about this to the Maharajganj police. Together with them, they raided the Rinku grocery store in Teji Bazaar. A sack of counterfeit branded salt and two sacks of loose salt were found there. Similarly, raids have been carried out on the Ishwar Chand Kirana store. From there two sacks were filled and an open counterfeit brand salt was recovered. At Maa Durga Traders in Dilshadpur, seven filled sacks and two sacks of salt from a counterfeit brand company were seized. 31 packets of fake branded salt found in the store of Aditya Kirana Store Mukesh Maurya. Following a complaint from Marketing Manager Devendra Pratap Singh, the police registered a case under the Copyright Act. In this regard, SHO Maharaj Santosh Rai said that the investigation into the matter was ongoing. Rigorous action is taken against the perpetrators.
