Former MLA Rao Abdul Waris becomes RLD. to join
Pubic. From Thana Bhavan, the former MLA Rao Abdul Waris will join RLD. He will take over the party’s membership before RLD President Jayant Chaudhary in Delhi. Waris was elected MLA by RLD in 2007 and has contested the MLA election twice on a BSP ticket.
It has long been speculated that Rao Abdul Waris, a resident of Kaidi village, would join the RLD. He said he would join the party on Wednesday before Jayant Chaudhary in Delhi. Waris first became MLA from Thana Bhavan in 2007 on the RLD ticket. He then joined the BSP and ran for the parliamentary elections in 2012 and 2017 with a BSP ticket. In the 2012 elections he received about 50 thousand votes and in 2017 about 74 thousand votes. After Naseemuddin Siddiqui had left the BSP, he too had distanced himself from the party. The father of the heir Rao Abdul Rafe Khan was elected MLA in 1969 by Thana Bhavan from the party of the late Chaudhary Charan Singh. His mother Rao Masarat Begum also joined the Bharatiya Kisan Kamgar Party in 2000.
