For Road Construction Budget Increased – Ghazipur, Asother, Vijayipur Road to be built with 102 crores

Fatehpur. The demand of the villagers and the initiative of regional MLA Vikas Gupta paid off. The Ghazipur-Vijaipur road connecting the villages of Yamuna Tihar will now be rejuvenated soon. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has increased the budget of this 34 km long road from 34 crores to 102 crores.
This is the main road connecting the district headquarters with the towns of Ghazipur, Asothar, Vijaypur, Khakhreru, Dhata to Kaushambi, Chitrakoot. In this, the road from Vijayapur to Dhata towards Ghazipur to the district headquarters has been made seven meters wide. The 34 km stretch of the middle is yet to be built.
Due to non-construction of road, the people of the towns and adjoining villages falling on this route are facing a lot of problem in the traffic. The villagers have demonstrated till the district headquarters for the construction of the road. Regional MLA Vikas Gupta had also promised people to build the road. On his initiative, on Thursday, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has announced the construction of a road with 102 crores.
After the construction of the road from Ghazipur to Vijayipur, it will be directly connected to Kaushambi, the home district of the Deputy Chief Minister. Also, this road will connect the three Legislative Assemblies of the district. The roads of Sadar and Khaga assembly constituencies have been built, but the part between the Ayah Shah assembly is in a dilapidated condition.
Now it’s time to make up that missed part as well. About 25 private buses used to operate on this route from Fatehpur to Ghazipur, Asothar, Vijaypur, Rakshapalpur to Dhata, but most of the buses have stopped operating due to the bad 34 km road in the middle. Now people commute through Kanpur-Prayagraj highway.
