Vikramjot. The water level of the Saryu River passed the danger mark on Friday. Because of this, river water has filled up in low-lying areas and fields. If the water level continues to rise like this, the roads to the village will also be affected. An atmosphere of fear reigns among the villagers who live on the banks of the river due to the rising water level.
According to the Central Water Commission, Ayodhya, the water level of the Saryu River passed the 92,730 danger level on Friday. Due to the increased water level of the river, the water reaches the fields by crossing the highway through the Ghrit Drain in Ghaghouwa. The farmers’ crops have drowned in the water of the river and the water has started to reach the Sikandarpur pond. At the same time, the Lolpur River flows alongside the Vikramjot Dam. The water of the river flows next to the villages of Bharathapur, Kalyanpur, Padav, Sandalpur, excluding the Vikramjot block villages. To protect the village from erosion, the cutters of the flood section have sunk and the damper has also started to sink. People like Jitendra Singh, Hemant Pandey, Abhishek Sharma, Shivkumar, Rajkumar, Vinod from the village say that the river bordered the village, which is why the water filled the fields. River water was flooded on both sides of Phuldih Kalyanpur Road. If the water level rises, the road will be closed. SDM Harraiya Sukhbir Singh said the team was ready in the affected area. The situation is being monitored.
