Deoria. In view of the increasing patients of fever, DM Ashutosh Niranjan inspected Maharishi Deoraha Baba Medical College and its affiliated district hospital on Friday. He took stock of the preparedness of the Health Department to deal with any emergent situation and gave necessary instructions. Expressed displeasure over the slow pace of investigation in pathology. The DM, who reached the district hospital in the afternoon, spoke to the health department officials in the CMS office and inspected the emergency. The DM said that at this time people are coming to the hospital due to seasonal fever, due to which more number of people are being seen in the OPD of fever. In view of this, the OPD time for fever has been changed from eight in the morning to eight in the night. The time of registration and testing in pathology has also been increased for screening of patients suspected of dengue, chikungunya and other communicable diseases. Arrangements have also been made for 20 additional emergency beds. Special attention is being paid to the young. Doctors, paramedical staff, medicines and testing kits and other essential items are available in sufficient quantity in the district hospital. The facility is being provided free of cost to the citizens. The DM advised the Health Department to be vigilant. He assured the Principal of Medical College Dr. Anand Mohan Verma that all possible help would be given to the district hospital. During this, CMO Dr. Alok Pandey, ACMO Dr. Surendra Singh, Dr. Alpana Rani, Dr. HK Mishra, Umesh Mishra and officials of health department were present.
