Father-son Found Dengue Victims, Number Four


Dengue fever is slowly spreading in Doaba too. On Friday, two people including father and son were found suffering from dengue in Tenwa village of Sadar block. With this, the number of dengue victims in the district has gone up to four. Seeing the increase in the number of patients, the health department has become active. The departmental team reached the village on Friday and made people aware of the prevention of disease along with spraying anti-larva. During this investigation in different villages, dengue larvae were found in 176 houses.
Like other districts of the state, the outbreak of dengue fever is increasing in Doaba too. After two patients found in Sirathu and Muratganj area a fortnight ago, symptoms of dengue were also found in Ramesh (30) and his father Ramdev (52), residents of Tenwa village, on Thursday.
Ramesh is an employee in the health department. These days his posting is in Fatehpur district. There was panic in the health department after the father and son found dengue victims together. On the instructions of CMO Dr. KC Rai, the team of Health Department reached the village and sprayed anti-larva and made people aware of the prevention of disease. District Malaria Officer Anupama Mishra said that now the number of dengue victims in the district has increased to four.
For rescue, departmental teams are checking and cleaning mosquito larvae in water bodies like coolers, tire pots etc. in fever-affected areas.
Anti-larva spraying is being done in drains. So far the team has done source reduction work in areas like Parsara, Kasia, Nadiraganj, Chandipur, Nisara, Saita, Dohi, Chail, Singhpur, Lalpur, Qadirabad, Netanagar, Paschim Shara and Purab Shara etc.
He said that on Friday, dengue larvae were found in 176 houses in different villages. Those who have been evacuated and cleaned.
