Jhansi. Rural farmers are making rounds in Tehsil to register the legacy, correct inaccuracies in Khatauni. The campaign is carried out from Friday to July 10th on the instructions of the district commissioner so that the farmers do not have to make unnecessary tours. Their problems are solved by the tax officials and employees in the village themselves.
Divisional Commissioner Dr. Ajay Shankar Pandey said it is the Treasury Department’s responsibility to keep the records complete and accurate. In the case of an undisputed inheritance, provision is made to hand over a copy of Khatauni in place of the deceased on the thirteenth day by entering the name of his successor, but even in such cases there is no timely action. In order to solve the problems of the villagers and farmers themselves at the village level, it is necessary that the records are correct. Therefore, a special campaign will be launched from June 25th to July 10th to correct the records. For this he wrote letters to the DMs of Jhansi, Jalaun and Lalitpur.
As part of this, this work is carried out by the tax officials and staff in each village to correct errors in Khatauni due to problems related to the farmers’ inheritance, spelling errors in Khatauni and for technical reasons. Village-by-village progress information on the action is received from Tehsil level to district level.
Likewise, the taking of village property by unauthorized persons causes damage to the state, while on the other hand there are disputes between the villagers over the illegal occupation of chakrods, barns, etc. Weekly reports will be received to take effective action during the campaign.
