Shamli. Ambala Division of NHAI has started preparations for publication of 3A for the Ambala-Shamli Economic Corridor connecting several districts of Haryana and West UP. NHAI has sent data of farmers’ land of 12 villages to the district administration for the construction of a six-lane highway of 110 km length. After verification of the district administration, the data will be available to NHAI Ambala Division, after which the notification of 3A will be published. After this, objections will be sought from the farmers. After the disposal of the objections, the process of land acquisition will start.
Starting from Ambala in Haryana and connecting Saharanpur-Shamli district of West UP, the 110 km long and 65 meter wide six-lane economic corridor is to be started soon. This economic corridor will connect the Delhi-Shamli-Saharanpur Highway at Gandewada Sangam of Thana Bhawan area in the district and the proposed Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor between Bhainsani Islampur and Hasanpur Luhari. The economic corridor will pass through 30 villages in Saharanpur district and 12 villages in Shamli district. NHAI Ambala Division has sent the land data of 12 villages coming under its JD to the district administration for verification. Along with the SDM of Shamli and Wool, the Tehsildar will get it verified. There are plans to connect this economic corridor with Gorakhpur in future.
ADM Finance and Revenue Arvind Kumar Singh informed that Ambala Division of NHAI has started preparations for notification of 3A for Economic Corridor. Record of land of farmers of 12 villages has been received. Verification of land will be done through SDM-Tehsildars.

Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor: Compensation of four villages still pending
Shamli. Under the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor’s JD, the administration has got compensation of 105.75 crores for seven villages like Kasampur, Butrada, Khyavadi, Khedipatti, Bhikka Majra, Bhaju, Ladomajri etc. of Shamli district. Even before this, 11 villages coming under the JD of this highway had received compensation of Rs 265 crore three months ago. In total 22 villages, till now the compensation of 18 villages has been received by the administration. SDM Sadar Sandeep Singh said that the compensation of four villages in the JD of Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor Expressway is still pending. Farmers are not applying for compensation.
