Etawa. A perpetrator who was involved in the robbery of jewelry from the wife of a city worker was caught by the police, and the bicycle used in the robbery was also found. The police are looking for the second perpetrator.
Poonam, the wife of town worker Rajneesh Rathore, a resident of Ashok Nagar, went to the wedding house in the Sai Cold Store on June 24 to attend the niece’s wedding. In the late evening she drove home in a car with her two daughters Vanshika, Aaradhya and their relative Usha, who lived in Delhi. On the street in front of the house, two robbers bicycling took the necklace, the Mangal Sutra and the chain from Poonam’s neck in a swoop. The perpetrators wore helmets and masks.
The incident was recorded on video surveillance in an exhibition room. Friends Colony Police Station and the Criminal Investigation Department searched for the robbers based on CCTV camera footage. Police caught a villain after searching the bike used in the robbery. He is said to be a resident of Siddhaganj. The search for the second culprit is ongoing. Friends Colony Police Station Upendra Singh has denied that the villain has been caught.
Police empty-handed when they pelt flammable materials at women
Police have yet to investigate who threw flammable substances at two women in the Pacca Sarai market in Etawah Kotwali. On June 14th, Shrikanti, a resident of Gandhinagar, came to Tikoniya market to buy a saree. There they were thrown with combustible material. Srikanti and the other woman standing next to him were scorched. Similarly, on June 24, Mamta Yadav was pelted with a chemical who was buying a saree in the market. In both cases the police get nothing.
