Saifai. It is necessary to raise awareness among people in order to dispel misunderstandings about donating blood. It is the social responsibility of every healthy person to donate blood themselves and to motivate family, friends and other people to donate blood voluntarily. This is what Professor Dr. Ramakant Yadav, Vice Chancellor of the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences.
The Vice Chancellor spoke at the opening of a voluntary blood donation camp and workshop organized in collaboration with pathology, the university’s blood bank and the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) on Doctor’s Day Thursday.
He said the voluntary blood donation initiative on Doctors Day would give the blood bank a positive boost to the blood donation drive. On this occasion, Dr. Pinky Pandey, Head of Pathology and Blood Bank Division, Dr. Vineet Chaturvedi, Blood Bank Administrator, Dr. Abhay Singh, Assistant Professor, Dr. SP Singh, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Umashankar’s Administrative Officer, were present.
42 people donated blood in the camp. Voluntary blood donors are lecturers, students and employees. All voluntary blood donors were honored with certificates from the blood bank.
Doctors’ Day on “Building a fairer, healthier world”
Dr. Adesh Kumar, the university’s medical superintendent, said Doctor’s Day is celebrated on July 1st each year. This year, the theme of Doctor’s Day was “Building a Fairer, Healthier World”. Any healthy person can contact the university’s blood bank at any time for a voluntary blood donation.
Doctors Day in memory of the former Prime Minister
Chancellor Suresh Chandra Sharma said this year’s Doctor’s Day took place amid the corona epidemic. This makes this day even more special.
