Hardoi. The city’s electricity supply was badly damaged by the rain on Tuesday night. Before that, the supply from the Charauli substation was interrupted due to a technical defect. During the rain, at 10 a.m., there was a defect in the machines of the Charauli substation, as a result of which the supply to the substation area was interrupted. After a lot of effort, at 12:30 p.m., the workers restored the supply by repairing the defect. The people had uninterrupted supplies for a while, so that around 2 p.m. during the rain, the isolator of the HT line that passed near the police station on Lucknow Octroi exploded. After the isolator burst, supplies to the City Power House, the Charauli Sub-Center, the Koel Bagh Colony and the Asha Nagar Substation, which were connected to the 33,000 KVA line, came to a standstill. As soon as the information about the supply interruption was received, the staff began troubleshooting. After the malfunction was identified, JE Rajinikanth Rawat and other officials began repairing the isolator in their presence. After repairs, the supply to these four substations could be restored at around 4 a.m. Here people had to put up with a lot of trouble because of the interruption in supply at night. In the absence of a fan, air conditioning, or other equipment, people had to stay up until four o’clock and spend the night. People breathed a sigh of relief when supplies were restored late at night.
Part of the Charauli sub-center is delivered to the city and the rest to the rural areas. At the same time, more than half of the city is supplied by the City Power House, the Koel Bagh colony and the Asha Nagar sub-center. More than 20,000 consumers and a population of more than 80,000 are connected to these sub-centers. The supply of these four substations was interrupted because of the bursting of the isolator of the 33 thousand line in Lucknow Octroi at around 2 a.m., directly affecting these consumers.
