Ujhani (Badayun). The team in the electricity department took action on Friday to help recover major defaulters. On the first day, electricity meters and cables to the value of more than one lakh rupees were confiscated from the houses and businesses of four defaulters. Because of the action, there was an atmosphere of panic among the defaulting people throughout the day.
A five-person team from the electricity department, led by SDO Mayank Maurya and JE Sunil Kumar Verma, began measures against the defaulters in the morning. The list of defaulting electricity consumers at the local level is very long, but the team first took action by identifying the defaulting individuals with more than one lakh rupees. Electric cables and meters were confiscated from the homes and businesses of four defaulters in this category. The electricity officers also gave the major defaulters time before they acted, but none of them appeared to be able to deposit the contributions.
JE Verma announced that 36 defaulting people had their electricity connections cut for more than ten thousand rupees. The campaign against the insolvent continues. Those in default were asked to deposit the outstanding electricity bills in good time, otherwise their connection will also be disconnected. Bunty Babu and Ram Prakash etc. were also represented in the electricity department team.
