Her husband died thirty years ago. Tajna has no support of its own. Ration is available in the Kotedar. But sometimes food out of poverty is not available. In such a situation, even for the June 2nd bread, one has to seek help from other houses. Age is in the last phase, can’t even afford wages. Tajna says she complained many times about the government’s plans, from the village chief to the block staff, but no one paid any attention. Given the condition of the elderly, Aman Shukla, the main representative of Parasdih village, tweeted the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, DM, CDO and SDM Haraiya on Twitter. But nobody noticed. Sitkohar village chief Lallan Verma said the elderly would not avail of any government measures other than a grocery card. In this context, CDO Dr. Rajesh Prajapati that information had been received and that BDO had been directed to investigate.
