Jalabhishek is performed in temples, even after social distancing. This decision was made at the meeting of the DM-SSP with the religious leaders.
In light of Eid-ul-Azha and Kanwar Yatra, a meeting of religious leaders was called on the police lines on Monday. In an address to which DM Shailendra Singh said that according to the government’s decision due to kovid, Eid-ul-Azha prayers will not be held in Idgah. Namaz can be offered in mosques after social distancing.
The DM said there was a total ban on sacrificing prohibited animals. Therefore, Muslim religious leaders should convey this message to the people of the community. After the victim, nobody should throw their remains outside or on the street. Do not take meat outside. If necessary, cover it up and wear it. SSP Pawan Kumar said that on the occasion of the festival no one should do such work that might raise objections from people of other religions.
He said that elaborate peace and security precautions had been taken during the festival. Do not pay attention to rumors of any kind. If any suspicious person or item is found, report it to the police immediately.
Stadtimam Hakim Syed Masoom Ali said that sacrifices are made on Eid-ul-Azha for three days. This happens from six in the morning to five in the evening. Therefore, the administration should make appropriate arrangements for peace and security. No one should be unnecessarily bothered by police officers. Naib Shahar Imam Syed Fahad Ali assured the administration that the people of the Muslim community at the festival will celebrate the festival according to the guidelines of the covid rules and governance.
