Rae Bareli. The month of July is passing and the delivery of textbooks to the district has not yet been completed. In such a situation, the distribution work has not yet started and the books have not got into the hands of the children.
The books are to be distributed to 2.97 lakh children studying in the district from first to eighth grade. The schools remain closed. In such a situation, the books are delivered to the school, then these books must go to the children’s house or call their parents to school.
The delivery of textbooks started on July 2nd. In the first two phases only about 1.38 lakh came from class VIII books. Then came the books of other classes in the third phase.
In this way, 4.28 lakh books were obtained in three phases. In the fourth phase, about one lakh of 34 thousand books were delivered on Sunday. So far, around five lakh 62 thousand textbooks have been delivered to the district in four phases.
Please say that textbooks are to be distributed to two lakh 97 thousand 169 students in the district. For this 20 lakh 22 thousand 715 books are needed, while so far only 25 percent, i.e. 5.62 lakh books, have been received.
Books that arrived on Sunday include the Tweet 33578 Class I, Kislay 33578 Class II, Gintara 27160 Class II, and the Pankhuri 40361 Class III books.
The sales work has not yet started due to non-delivery of books. Only books are verified. If this condition of book deliveries continues, there is no hope of starting the distribution work this month.
That means, from next month, children will be able to get books. District coordinator (community education) Dr. Sanjeev Gupta announced that the books that have been preserved so far have been kept in a safe place. The verification work is in progress. Distribution of the books will begin shortly.
