Education – Girl’s garden will start in council schools

Pilibhit. Girl’s garden will be made in the council schools of the district. In this, various types of flowers, seasonal nutritious vegetables including guava, pomegranate, lemon will be planted. One day a campaign called 226 Bagiya will be conducted on September 1.
DM Pulkit Khare gave instructions after holding a review meeting with the officers of various departments in the Collectorate on Friday. The DM directed to conduct a campaign named 226 Bagiya on September 1 for setting up a nutrition garden named as Bitiya Ki Bagiya in the council schools. Under this, nutrition garden will be established in 226 such council schools of the district in which Anganwadi and boundary wall have been built. In this, the work of planting guava, pomegranate, lemon, various types of flowers, seasonal nutritious vegetables will be done. The nutritious ingredients prepared in the daughter’s garden will be used in the midday mill of the school in the coming days. The main objective of the campaign is to emotionally connect the girls of the school.
In the meeting, he directed the officers that on September 1, the campaign would be started simultaneously in all the five blocks of the district. Under this, the program will be started by planting saplings by the youngest daughter of the schools. The task of maintaining the daughter’s garden nutrition garden will also be entrusted to the daughters of different classes. They will emotionally connect with them while taking care of the regular plants. Along with this, responsibility will be assigned to the teachers and Anganwadi workers of the concerned school for regular monitoring. The status of the nutrition garden will also be regularly reviewed.
The DM asked the Block Development Officer and the Block Education Officers to provide the information after inspecting the list of schools provided on 28 and 29 September, the photo of the selection of the place and assessing the plants and laborers required for the nutrition garden. Availability of plants and all preparations should be ensured by the evening of August 31. Under the campaign, nutrition gardens will be established in 56 schools in development block Amaria, 53, Bisalpur 59, Puranpur 39, Bilsanda 19, Marauri. The first 10 schools that set up the most beautiful daughter’s garden will be honored. The program will be launched under his supervision by nominating the district level officer in the schools.
