E Buses Will Run On Varanasi City Roads From November Transport Corporation Made Route Plan

There is a plan to run electric buses in Banaras to curb the increasing air pollution and save fuel (diesel). Recently, after the introduction of electric bus service in Lucknow, the MD of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has sought a progress report of the charging point of Varanasi bus.

The wait to travel on pollution-free buses on the roads of Varanasi city is going to end soon. The work of the e-charging station being built in Mirzamurad will be completed by the first week of October. As soon as this is completed, e-buses will also reach here for operation. On the other hand, the Transport Corporation has also prepared a route plan for the operation of e-buses. The exercise is also going on for where they will stay.The work on the electric bus charging station of City Transport Services being built in Mirzamurad is going on at a brisk pace. Along with preparing the platform here, the boundary wall is also being built. The charging facility and maintenance work of 50 electric buses will be done here. Regional Manager Roadways Santosh Kumar said that 50 e-charging buses will start operating in the city soon. The work of e-charging station for buses is going on in full swing in Mirzamurad. It is to be ready by the month of October.
To make the city smart and pollution free, e-buses will be operated by the Transport Corporation. Passengers will get more comfortable chairs and packed windows than normal buses, so that dust and outside polluting air will not come inside the bus like normal buses. The bus will have digital display screens inside and outside, so that people can see the coming stop in front. Two huge power transformers of sixteen-sixteen hundred kVA, loaded on a trailer (truck) from Ghaziabad, reached the under-construction charging station in Mirzamurad on Tuesday. Where both these transformers were lowered with the help of crane.
