DPR of the Ambala-Shamli Economic Corridor will last two years

As part of the Bharat Mala project, a six-lane economic corridor is proposed to connect Ambala in Haryana and Saharanpur in West UP with the Shamli district. This 110 km long corridor will be connected to the Delhi-Shamli-Saharanpur Highway near Thana Bhawan in the Shamli district. The Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor in Bhaisani Islampur and the village of Hasanpur Luhari will also be connected to it. Land acquisition for the Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor is in progress.
The preparatory work for the DPR of the Ambala-Shamli economic corridor has been entrusted to the PIU of the Ambala division. Previously, 24 villages of Shamli were included in this six-lane corridor, later the district administration, including 12 villages, was asked to take measures to acquire land. Ravindra Dalal, PIU deputy head of the Ambala Division, said it would take two years to prepare the DPR of the Ambala-Shamli New Economic Corridor. The publication of the 3A notification will also take a long time. ADM Finance and Revenue Arvind Kumar has been named Competent Officer on behalf of the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and the National Highways Authority of India, New Delhi.
