Mau (chitrakoot). Wheat was painstakingly procured from the farmers in the district’s wheat procurement centers, but now the farmers are making the rounds in the name of payment. Many farmers reported that the person in charge of the procurement center even threatened to buy their wheat and keep it in the warehouse when asked for payment. In connection with the matter, the aggrieved farmers have appealed to the higher authorities to enforce the payment.
Farmer Chandrashekhar Dwivedi, a resident of Khaptiha village in the Tehsil area, said in a letter to Mau SDM that he had sold about 26 quintals of wheat on June 14 at the Khaptiha Society Wheat Procurement Center. for which no payment has yet been received. During the wheat procurement, the person in charge of the procurement center had said that the payment would be transferred to his account himself on the second day. Even after about 15 days, when payment was not received, he would often go to the person in charge and ask him to get money. If the payment comes from above, it will go into the account.
In this regard, SDM Navdeep Shukla said that information is being extracted from officials in the affected department on the matter.
