Disha Patani To Star Opposite Suriya In His 42nd Film

Bollywood actress Disha Patani has joined the cast of superstar Suriya’s 42nd project. The actor confirmed the news on Friday through a post on social media. Disha used her Instagram account to share the moving poster of Suriya’s upcoming project with the hashtag Suriya 42 as the title. In the motion poster, an eagle can be seen soaring over a battlefield, catching up with Suriya’s character, who is seen watching the battle from atop a hill. The teaser shows some war footage and a huge army with elephants, indicating to the audience that the film is a period drama. The poster also reveals that the untitled film will be released in 3D in ten languages. Suriya also shared the movement poster on Twitter and tagged Disha Patani in her post. Sharing the motion poster, Suriya wrote, “We wish you all the best as we begin our adventure!”

Disha’s post garnered more than three lakh likes on Instagram. Many of her fans flooded her post with comments. One of them wrote: “Welcome to Kollywood”, while the other wrote: “You will rock”. Several others released heart and fire emojis in the actor’s comments section.

In August, Suriya shared the announcement to start filming the movie. She shared a photo of herself with director Shiva and composer Devi Sri Prasad on Instagram. Sharing the post, the actor wrote, “The shooting started…! I need all your blessings..!!”

The film is directed by filmmaker Siva, who also co-wrote the script with writer Adi Narayan. Suriya’s untitled project will be produced under his 2D Entertainment banner.
