Devotees Engrossed In Devotional Rasa On Radhashtami


Jhansi. The festival of Radhashtami was celebrated with great pomp in the Shri Krishna temples of the metropolis. During this, attractive tableaux were decorated in the temples. Religious and cultural programs were held from early morning till late night in all other temples including ISKCON temple, Kunj Bihari temple. During this, devotees sang congratulatory songs on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Lord and had darshan of Radha Ju, who is all-powerful.
Various religious programs were organized on Radhashtami at ISKCON temple on Tuesday. On the occasion of Radha’s birthday, congratulatory songs were sung and devotees danced. In the evening, people saw Radhika Ju in the midst of Mangal songs. Before this, in the morning Brahma Muhurta in ISKCON temple, Radha Krishna was anointed by doing Mangal Aarti. On this occasion, Brijbhoomi Das Prabhu said in a discourse on Radhashtami that Radha Rani is the form of Sarva Shakti, without whom even Krishna, the lord of Trilok, is incomplete. Radha is the epitome of love. After the discourse, anointing was done and in the afternoon there was a great aarti on the birth anniversary. During this a large number of devotees were present. This was followed by Hare Naam Sankirtana. Karuna Sindhu Das, Rajiv Agarwal, Abhay Chand, Gangaram Shivhare, Ashok Seth, Bhupendra Raikwar etc. were present on this occasion. Moderation and thanks were expressed by Pandit Piyush Rawat. Here, Radhashtami was celebrated with devotion in Kunj Bihari temple. Devotees continued to throng to see Lord Kunj Bihari and Radha Ju.
