Designer and IIT Kanpur alumnus Mukul Goyal highlighted the relationship between the heritage of traditional metal crafts and technology, skills of the craftsmen and design interventions to bring out the versatility of the craft in contemporary spaces, informed the World University. design.

“As India moves from being a mere seller to a global buyer, to being a promoter of good design, a research-based approach in design holds great importance in India’s education landscape. Such researchers will emerge as thought leaders who will influence the design discussion and the quality of education. His interdisciplinary approach will drive innovation and bridge the education-industry gap.
