In Pedh Gram Panchayat in the Ghorawal Tehsil area, the administration built the houses by invading the land of the village society. On Sunday, the Tehsil administration ended the multi-month episode by demolishing six JCB Kutcha homes.
Agricultural land is also made available to the people living in these houses by being given valid documents elsewhere.
When widening and reinforcing the road proposed by Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, steps were taken to provide affected woodland. 33,265 hectares of land were made available to the forestry department in the village of Pedh, compared with 61,500 km Basuhari Marg, 22 km Chargada Marg and 20,200 km Rampur Barkoniya Marg. Due to the houses built on the respective property, the forestry department only prepared for the handover after the site had been cleared in front. Talks took place for about a year to clear the operation.
Forest official Surju Prasad says the proposal is to build a road in the woodland where the forestry department can only accept the undisputed land. After the property has been received, the procedures for Section 4 and further Section 20 will be carried out. Police officers including SDM Jainendra Singh Regional Lekhpal were present during the trial on Sunday.
