On the eve of the Ashadhi festival, there was a line of shopkeepers at the fair on Friday. The shopkeepers marked their places and started setting up shops. Even after the ban, the police obtained information about the establishment of the shops for the mass in the temple grounds of Maa Annapurna. The shops were closed and taken away. The police also issued an announcement.
Kotwal Shailendra Kumar said the fair had been canceled in view of the covid infection. No shopkeeper is going to increase the crowd by putting a shop at the fair. Action will be taken if the shop is found to be open.
