The program organized in the memory of Tabla Maharishi Pt. Anokhilal Mishra and Pt. Chhote Lal Mishra was inaugurated by District Magistrate Shubhrant Kumar Shukla by lighting the lamp. Dr. Jyoti of Music Department of Divyang University presented Saraswati Vandana. Tabla accompaniment was done by Dr. Vivek and harmonium accompaniment by Dr. Gopal Mishra. Manoj Solanki of Pune proved the significance of the festival by playing Chakradar compositions in Mridang Vadan. The beats of the mridang and the beauty of the triples were applauded by the artists. Harmonium accompaniment was done by Lalit Sisodia Delhi. Shankar Bandhu, Sanjeev Shankar and Ashwani Shankar of Delhi enthralled the people in the musical spirit by playing melody in the bandish of Raga Maru Bihag and Raga Kafi in shehnai playing. In the evening there were performances by eminent artists of Banaras. Kishan Ram Dohkar presented Tabla solo playing in Teen Taal. The impression of the Banaras Gharana was visible in his playing. Dr. Ram Shankar of the singing department of Banaras Hindu University presented classical singing. Dr. Ram Shankar, Kishan Ram Dohkar, Shankar Bandhu and Dr. Gopal Kumar Mishra were honored by Nadora Sanstha by giving Naad Ratna Award-2022 for their outstanding contribution in the field of music.
