Chitrakoot. The team of Revenue Department and Agriculture Department is assessing the agriculture affected by the flood in Yamuna river. In which there have been reports of the crop sown in about two thousand hectares being affected. The damage to the crop worth Rs 1.36 crore has been estimated. Deputy Agriculture Director Rajesh Kumar told that after visiting the flood affected villages, he has seen the damage of crops. About 80 percent crop damage has been done in sesame. Other crops like urd, moong, jowar and tur etc. have suffered 20 to 30 percent loss. The farmers who have insured the crop will be given money by the insurance company. ADM GP Singh said that the joint team is assessing the damage to crops in the villages affected by the floods. The detailed report is not out yet.
