In the Unnao district, harvesting began in many places due to the two-day rise in the water level of the Ganges. Many corpses are now seen landing. In this Buxar Ghat in Bighapur, dozens of bodies were found 15 days ago, buried on the bank of the river and in the middle of the creek. Some people say that now the remains of corpses buried in the past have been unloaded. Most recently, the graph of deaths from corona and other diseases rose. People had buried hundreds of bodies on a sand dune between the Ganges, as space was scarce at the Buxar cremation site in Bighapur, on the border of Fatehpur and Rae Bareli districts. The risk of infection increased from the open corpses that were buried on the hill between the river bank and the stream and dragged around by dogs.

The government took action after the news was released in Amar Ujala on May 12. When the matter reached the government, DM Ravindra Kumar had the cards matched and measured with the Fatehpur District SDM Bighapur Dayashankar Pathak and Bindki Tehsil SDM Priyanka revenue team.

Bighapur SDM stated in its report that the sand dune is located in the Bindki-tehsil border of the Fatehpur district. The Fatehpur and Unnao officials had sealed the bodies by offering sand, removing the shrouds and clothes that lay on top of the bodies buried on the hill.
