Saharanpur The drug kits are now being made available to the corona patients isolated at home by the city staff and monitoring committees. On Tuesday, Mayor Sanjeev Walia ordered the company to hold a meeting with the cleaning inspectors and officials to make arrangements.
So far, the Ministry of Health teams have been distributing the kit to patients living in isolation. The kit contains medication for five days. But now the city administration is going to do that job. Mayor Sanjeev Walia said the city administration has taken responsibility for providing medicines from the health department. The company will deliver medication to patients’ homes through its staff and monitoring committees. The mayor said staff and members of the supervisory committee should distribute the medicine with the utmost seriousness as it is a matter that affects patients’ lives. The medicine should not be withdrawn from any patient. It was also announced that the city administration will oversee the distribution of medicines by maintaining constant contact with patients through the control room. The city health officer Dr. Kunal Jain, Deputy City Commissioner Ashok Dear Gautam, Senior Sanitary Inspector Amit Tomar, etc. were present at the meeting.

Saharanpur City councils have also asked the mayor and city commissioner to provide ten to 20 oxygen cylinders to each monitoring committee. Mansoor Badar said needy patients in the area have been calling for city councils to provide oxygen bottles for about 20 days. The city councils can make arrangements in one way or another. If the supervisory boards have cylinders, they can provide cylinders in addition to medicine to those in need.
