The infection with the corona virus has not stopped in Varanasi. Given the severity of the infection, an action plan is being drawn up to re-parole detainees at Varanasi District Prison, who have been held for more than three times the required capacity. The prison administration says an action plan is being prepared on this and will be implemented soon.

The High Power Committee, formed under the chairmanship of the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad Supreme Court, Sanjay Yadav, has planned to release the convicts and subordinates after the coronavirus infection spreads in state prisons. Judicial officers have been ordered to go to jail and release prisoners after 60 days of parole or bail under the program.

The prison director general sought details of the detainees in prison for failing to submit the fine after the verdict was completed. They can be cleared by paying fines by the state legal services authority.

There are currently 2,276 inmates in the district prison with a capacity of 747 inmates. More than 50 captive coronas have recently been infected, with the exception of three, all of which have recovered. Jailor Pawan Kumar Trivedi from the county jail announced that the list is being prepared. About 350 prisoners are released on parole. The relevant report will soon be presented to the district judge and judicial officers.

Last year’s five prisoners have not yet returned
