Rae Bareli. Corona has dwarfed routine vaccination to protect the innocent from serious illness. In the past three months, half of the children were not vaccinated against the target. The aim was to have 2.90 lakh children vaccinated in the last three months.
However, only 1.30 lakh children were vaccinated. The health department has obliged all employees to have a corona vaccination. As a result, routine vaccination has been compromised.
Along with birth there is a vaccination system to protect the newborn from various serious diseases. In state hospitals, children are vaccinated for free every Wednesday and Saturday. The vaccination has been affected since last year due to the increasing devastation of Corona.
Again this year, the lockdown brought vaccination to a standstill in April and May. Few children got the vaccine. Around 80,000 children were vaccinated in June. Due to the department’s special focus on corona vaccination, routine vaccination is affected.
