CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury said, “The Modi government had enough time to evacuate Indians. Instead the focus has been on propaganda, spin and photo ops.”
Meanwhile, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday extended her “unconditional support” to PM Modi on the Ukraine crisis and suggested an all-party meeting to “strengthen our national resolve to come out of the crisis with our heads held high”. . She said that “in times of grave international crisis, we must put aside our domestic disagreements to unite as one nation”.
