The rejuvenation of the Kali River, which flows through the Meerut district, has begun. On Tuesday, officials reached Gaondi village in the Rajpura block and beautified the Kali River. Commissioner, District Magistrate, CDO, DFO planted seedlings on the banks of the river. At the same time, 50 workers connected to MNREGA, JCB and Poklane machines were deployed.
Commissioner Surendra Singh said the work must be done in mission mode. Not that the event just happened and fell silent when it got published in the newspapers. We must make the river sacred in two kilometers in 15 days. Said that a great program is being prepared for this work to be completed. The cooperation between village chiefs and social organizations is necessary. SDM Sadar Sandeep Bhagia was instructed to measure the river in a week.

As part of the “Catch the Rain” campaign, a plan was drawn up to beautify the river. Two days ago, Chief Development Officer Shashank Chaudhary inspected the villages of Hastinapur and Nangli. Poklane is being excavated with the help of JCB machines on a two-kilometer stretch near the village of Gaondi. This work was inaugurated on Tuesday by Commissioner Surendra Singh, District Judge K. Balaji did it. The employees employed by MNREGA are also employed here. The goal was set to complete this campaign in 15 days.
