Civic – will get rid of potholes, travel on new roads


Unnao. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 28 roads made under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) through virtual medium. The journey of the villagers on these roads will be pleasant.
Under PMGSY, 28 roads of 80 km have been constructed in rural areas in the district. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath dedicated these roads to the public by dedicating these roads through virtual medium from Lucknow. SK Jain, Executive Engineer, PMGSY, said that these roads have been constructed with Rs 7.92 crore. This will bring great relief to the people. During this, many roads of the district panchayat were also to be inaugurated, but due to rain, the program was postponed due to lack of painting. District Panchayat President Shakun Singh, Bangarmau MLA Shrikant Katiyar, MLC Arun Pathak’s representative Sanjeev Dwivedi, CDO Divyanshu Patel, Additional Chief Officer VK Singh were present in the inauguration program.
Roads of 1182.20 km of the district are transformed into potholes. Rs 4.05 crore has been released for their repair. The state government has ordered filling of potholes of all the dilapidated roads from September 15 to November 15.
PWD has to repair 154.4 km of state roads, 72.42 km of district roads, 90.30 km of urban and 865.08 km of rural roads. These roads are completely broken. There are huge potholes on these roads. Vehicle riders are getting pinched by getting stuck in deadly potholes. For the repair of potholes, the government has given 2.12 crore to the provincial section of PWD and 1.93 crore to the construction block I. Superintending Engineer Manilal said that by November 15, the roads would be pothole-free in any condition.
