Civic – No water in district hospital for two days

Unnao. The underground pipeline for water supply in the district hospital burst at many places. This did not allow water to reach the tanks. Due to non-availability of water, patients and family members and health workers are troubled for two days. Patients have to return without doing dialysis for two days. The underground pipeline lying in the district hospital for water supply, from the AYUSH department to the medicine store, had burst from several places on Wednesday morning. CMS had him corrected it. After running for some time, the leakage started again at another place. Due to this the supply of water in ward number one, two as well as OPD room and dialysis unit was disrupted. The patients and their relatives admitted in the ward had to yearn for water. The situation was that for drinking water they had to buy bottles from outside. Some friendly women brought water from the hospital. Due to non-availability of water in the dialysis unit, the patients kept waiting for the pipeline to be built, but due to lack of water, they had to return disappointed. The situation remained the same on Thursday as well. CMS engaged plumbers since morning to repair the pipeline. The entire pipeline was dug. After that the work started to fix it. The water supply could not be started till late Thursday evening. CMSA Dr. Pawan Kumar told that the problem of water has come due to the bursting of the pipeline. Efforts are on to rectify it. It is expected that dialysis service will also be started on Friday.
