Chitrakoot News – Training of new experiments for the visually impaired


Chitrakoot. A three-day capacity building workshop was organized by All India Confederation of the Blind and Denmark Blind Association Denmark in the city’s social organization Drishti Complex. In which it was decided that the Danish organization working for the visually impaired in Jalaun and Pratapgarh would now cooperate in this direction in Chitrakoot as well. In which training will be given in relation to new experiments for the visually impaired.
On Thursday, the workshop was inaugurated by All India Confederation of Blind Vice-President/ General Secretary of Vision Shankar Lal Gupta and District Disabled Public Empowerment Officer Raj Bahadur Singh. The Secretary General informed that in collaboration with the Danish institution, Jalaun district is conducting a community based rehabilitation program for the rehabilitation of the visually impaired. The responsibility of taking care and guide of the work being done there has been given to the vision organization. A similar project of his is also going on in Pratapgarh district. Both the projects have been going on there for two years. The workers working in those projects are timely trained in relation to the new experiments being done for the visually impaired and on the basis of their experiences, new experiments are prepared.
25 people are taking training in the workshop. Dr. Manjula Rath of Delhi Vishwavidyalaya as experts in the workshop, Gauri Sen of NAVH, Lucknow, SK Singh and Project Manager Viktrasam Dutt from Delhi, Social worker Pankaj Aggarwal, Lalluram Shukla, Pankaj Dubey, Basant Lal, Project Officer Jalaun Sudhanshu Shukla and Ajay Mishra of Pratapgarh were present.
