Superstar Chiranjeevi tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. The actor confirmed the diagnosis via his Twitter handle. The actor said he had “mild symptoms” following his diagnosis. “Dear Sir or Madam, despite all precautionary measures, I tested positive for Covid-19 last night with mild symptoms and am in quarantine at home. I ask everyone who has come into contact with me in the last few days to also get tested. Can’t wait See you all again soon,” Chiranjeevi’s tweet read. Upon seeing the post, Jr. NTR also commented, “Wishing you a speedy recovery sir! Hope you feel better soon.”

Last November, Chiranjeevi announced that he had tested positive for the corona virus. However, three days after his announcement, he claimed to have tested positive for Covid-19 earlier due to a faulty test kit. Chiranjeevi even shared the review on his social media handles at the time.
Chiranjeevi made his acting debut in the 1978 film Punadhirallu. He also appeared in Pranam Khareedu which was released earlier at the box office. The actor has starred in over 150 feature films. Aside from films, he is also widely known for his philanthropy. He established a Chiranjeevi Trust for eye and blood donations. The actor was also awarded the Padma Bhushan.
In terms of work, the actor will next appear in the film Acharya to be released on April 1st. He has Bhola Shankar, godfather and two untitled projects with directors Bobby and Venky Kudumula were pending.
