Megastar Chiranjeevi and Rebel star Prabhas have come out in strong support for Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, sharing a heartfelt post thanking the politician. So, why have the two biggest names of Telugu cinema expressed their solidarity and gratitude for Jagan Mohan Reddy? Well, it pertains to the long-running dispute between the Telugu film industry and the Andhra Pradesh government over the ceiling on ticket rates, which the AP CM has finally resolved to put to rest, causing immense satisfaction within Tollywood. Both Chiranjeevi and Prabhas have given appropriate voices.
Expressing his views in his native Telugu dialect on his official Twitter handle; Chiranjeevi’s words can be translated as: “AP CM YS Jagan Garu is very thoughtful about the Telugu film industry. We, as an industry, are happy with the hike in ticket prices. The permission for a 5th show related to low budget films is also a warm gesture.” Check out the actor’s tweet below:

Radhe Shyam actor Prabhas, on the other hand, took to his official Facebook page to put his thoughts into words. “I would like to thank Chief Minister AP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Garu, Perni Nani Garu Ki, for understanding the concerns of the Telugu film fraternity and supporting us through the newly revised ticket prices,” read his FB post. The new government directive for ticket rates in both high-end and mid-budget multiplexes and single screens in Telangana will come into effect from the March 1 release of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam, which will also have huge benefits. SS Rajamouli’s RRR, starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo, also released two weeks later.
