Children Of Sixth And Seventh Did Not Get Books

On the first day, 50 children were present as against 138. Free textbooks of class VIII have not been distributed. Most of the children came to school in home clothes as the dress money did not reach the parents’ account.
Free textbooks and free clothes are to be distributed in the council schools by the government. Schools of classes VI to VIII have opened, but free textbooks for classes VII, VIII have not been available in the council upper primary schools. So far, only eight lakh free textbooks have been received against about 13 lakh. Money for two sets of free dress is to be sent from the government to the account of the parents of the children, but till now the money has not been sent to the account. In such a situation some children came without dress. So some came wearing last year’s dress. In this regard, BSA Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh says that a consignment of free textbooks is coming. After verification, it is being distributed in the schools.
