Gyanpur. The Barfani Group and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad paid tribute to the great hero of the struggle for freedom, Chandrashekhar Azad, by paying a floral homage to his statue on his birthday. The workers cleaned the dirt and rubbish scattered in the park.
On this occasion, Brahma Modanwal of the Barfani Group told that Chandrashekhar Azad, born in 1906 in the Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh, came to Varanasi at the age of 14. After Mohandas Karamchand attended a Sanskrit school in 1920, he joined the non-cooperation movement of Gandhi. While standing before the judge after his arrest, he did not hesitate to give his name as Azad, his father’s name as freedom and residence in prison. I was told that following this answer from Chandrashekhar Azad, the judge sentenced him to 15 lashes. But even during the flogging, Azad continued to sing Vande Mataram, Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Such a great hero and revolutionary can never be forgotten. It is the duty of all compatriots to follow the messages of Chandrashekhar Azad.
Satyaprakash, Shubham Pandey, Shivkant Pandey, Akash Dubey, Pritesh Bhatt, Abhishek Rai, Rakesh Devvanshi, Rajendra Saroj, Ram Jaiswal, Vijay Devvanshi, Anil Mali etc. were represented in the program organized on this occasion.
