Kasganj. Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant’s birth anniversary was celebrated on Friday as part of the series of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and Chauri-Chaura Centenary Celebrations. During the program organized in the Collectorate premises, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh laid wreaths and wreaths on the portrait of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant.
The District Magistrate said that Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant had an important contribution in the freedom struggle movement. Under the freedom movement, he actively participated in the non-cooperation movement, boycott of Simon Commission and Salt Satyagraha. Pant ji was a great patriot, efficient administrator, successful orator, rich in logic and powerful with writing. He was the first Chief Minister of the state and later also discharged the responsibility of the Home Minister of the country. In the year 1957, the great patriot, efficient administrator, successful orator and generous mind Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant ji was honored with Bharat Ratna, India’s highest title.
Chief Development Officer Tej Pratap Mishra, PD DRDA Ramayan Singh Yadav, District Disabled Empowerment Officer Gyan Devi and other officers and employees also paid floral tributes on the portrait of Pant ji in Vikas Bhawan auditorium. In the programs, the students were made aware of their personality and creativity and their contribution towards the nation and live telecast of the main program held in Lucknow was also shown.
