Case of two agencies for failing to pay for the Paddy purchase

Bashari. A case of non-payment by farmers came to light after buying rice through the two shopping centers of the agency named by the Ministry of Food. Several reminders were issued to the manager of the respective shopping center for payment. Because of non-payment, the regional marketing officer has now initiated proceedings against the director of the two purchasing agencies of the Baskhari police station for blasphemy. About Rs 36 lakh is outstanding on both shopping agencies. The police are investigating the whole matter.
Let us share that in the 2020-21 budget year the government instructed the farmers ‘rice products to be paid out to farmers’ accounts within 72 hours according to the fixed support price under the PFMS system. As such, the farmers’ crops were bought at the central purchasing office, but the farmers had to do laps to pay. So far, some farmers are pending payment.
Under the food division, the FPO has appointed Ravi Chaudhary, director of Gangotri Farmer Producer Company Limited in the Sheikhpur Purchase Center under Development Block Baskhari, and Vinod Kumar Patel, director of Maa Bharti Kisan Agro Producer Company Limited in the Masra Mohanpur Purchase Center to take care of the yield determine determine rice fields of regional farmers intended for purchase at support price. Accordingly, both agencies started shopping in their respective centers. Gangotri Farmer Producer Company Limited’s mall bought 5,670 quintals and Maa Bharti 7038 quintals of rice. After purchasing the rice, Gangotri Farmer paid 89 lakh 64,000 905 rupees but did not pay 16 lakh 26,000 654 rupees. The same Maa Bharti paid Rs 1 crore 14 lakh 91 thousand 189 and made arrears of Rs 19 lakh 65 thousand 136.
The Food Ministry issued several reminders to the directors of both agencies to pay, but the agencies refused to listen. In the covid-19 epidemic, farmers are also concerned and excited to be paid. They curse government policies in their heads. Now the food department was fully equipped to take action against the authorities. Then Tanda Avadhesh Kumar Verma, Regional Marketing Officer, filed a nominee motion against Ravi Chaudhary-based Aswapar Mohrai and Vinod Kumar Patel-based Alampur Dhanaura, Tanda.
