Electricity is supplied from Tehsil Tarabganj’s Shuklaganj substation to a dozen villages in Raggarganj Bazar, Baslar Samat region. The building of the Shuklaganj sub-center, built ten years ago, is completely dilapidated. The windows and floors of the building are completely broken. The condition of the roof is very poor. Plaster of paris is falling apart. In light rain, the epicenter fills with water. The machines installed in the substation are damaged. There are three feeders Dehras, Umri and Belsar at the substation. From here electricity is supplied to the people of about three lakh population of a dozen grams of Panchayats, including Gramm Panchayats Belsar, Liloi, Gopipur, Chandpur, Singhpur, Umri, Elli, Sonali, Jafrapur, Adampur.
On Wednesday at 12 noon there was a sudden malfunction in the 33 thousand KV line that was connected to the substation. The late delivery has been discontinued. All night long, people in a dozen villages, including the Raggarganj Market, cried from the heat. When the electricians started checking the line in the morning, the line insulator was found between Mangura-Kataha. After a lot of effort, the line was repaired at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning. Only then could the power supply be restored.
Under engineer Anish Pandey said the isolator of 33,000 lines between Mangura and Kataha had collapsed. Because of this, the supply was interrupted at night. The disturbance could not be remedied at night due to the line in the forest. But supplies were restored in the morning.
