By-election: voting on a seat of the city council

Ghosia (Bhadohi). The by-election for the vacant city council seat at Ward 10 Chaudhary Nagar by Nagar Panchayat was completed on Tuesday under tight security. From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., 806 out of 1,285 voters cast their votes. The fates of three candidates were recorded in ballot boxes. Now, on May 6th, the winner will be determined when the votes are counted.
Sajida Begum, the councilor for Section 10 of Ghosia Nagar, died on June 30th. As a result, this seat became vacant. Shyam Pyari, Farida Begum and Sajida had submitted documents for the by-election on the instructions of the commission. Voting began on Tuesday at seven a.m. at two booths.
In the mornings and evenings, the number of voters at the stands was higher, while the afternoons were quiet. The vote took place peacefully under strict security precautions. The votes will be counted on May 6th, starting at 8 a.m. The responsible Kotwali Vijay Pratap Singh was stationed at the stands with Dalbal. ARO Rajkumar Shukla said that ballot papers were kept in Aurai Tehsil. The votes will be counted on May 6th.
