Meerut. At midnight on Monday, a fire broke out in the pipeline of the GAIL Gas Company in front of the Partapur police station. The 33 kV HT underground cable also came under control. The Hapur Road Bypass and the Sharda Road power station were blocked due to the cable break. Around 50,000 consumers from both power plants could not get any electricity overnight. People are fed up with the heat. Inverters stopped and there was no water in the morning. Angry people kept calling the officers and informing them about the current. Power was normalized by taking turns taking precautions around 10 a.m.
The Sharda Road and Hapur Road bypass power plants are supplied via the same line from Partapur Transmission. When people warned against destroying the power plant if there was no electricity, officials rushed to power it up by connecting Sharda Road to the City Hall Power Plant and the Hapur Bypass to the Hapur Road Power Plant. Consumers breathed a sigh of relief after receiving electricity after about 10 hours. When the malfunction was only resolved in the evening, the electricity was delivered according to plan. Within two to three hours, people had an hour of problems due to a power outage.
Bugs found overnight, found in the morning
The PVVNL team patrolled overnight to find the bug, but the bug could not be found. When the information was received in the morning when the team arrived in front of the Partapur police station, the 33-KV cable was completely blown up. GAIL Gas Company personnel who obtained the information put out the fire, and after that, NCRTC personnel, along with PVVNL personnel, began repairing the cable.
Consumers at City Hall and the Hapur Road power station are also upset
Due to the problem, the Sharda Road power plant was connected to the City Hall power plant and the Hapur Road Bypass power plant was connected to the Hapur Road power plant. The four power plants will be supplied with electricity as planned. Because of this, the consumers of the town hall and the Hapur Road power station are also facing problems.
