People stayed upset because there was no electricity until late at night. Many consumers repeatedly reported complaints about the unavailability of electricity in the substations. After much effort, the power supply was restored late at night.
There was a breakdown in the substation being built near Mahila Thana on Agra Road in the city. Because of this, the power went out in many parts of the city. The same situation was at the substation that was being built on the cold road. Here, too, the breakdown resulted in power outages in many areas.
Due to the strong wind accompanied by rain, trees fell near the Kotwali countryside and on the cold road. This interrupted the power line. The supply to half the city was interrupted for five hours. The supply could be restored around midnight.
