Lalitpur. A teenager who grazed goats under the Banpur Police Station in Kakdari village died of drowning after falling into a pit. The Banpur Police Station reached the site and sent the body for an autopsy. According to the villagers, the pit was dug to irrigate the fields.
Chhotu Kushwaha, 15, son of Ramcharan Kushwaha, a resident of Kakdari village under Banpur Police Station, went to the village to graze goats at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning. After about an hour and a half, his older brother Manoj Kushwaha was going to take a bath in a pit about five hundred six hundred meters from the house when he put his brother Chhotu’s slippers in the pit. He called other villagers and looked for him in the pit when, in case of doubt, Chhotu’s body was recovered from the water in the pit. The villagers took out his body and notified the Banpur Police Station. Police from the Calguwan Outpost of Banpur Police Station reached the site and sent the body for an autopsy. The late Manoj Kushwaha’s older brother said that his brother must have slipped into the pit and fell, causing him to die by drowning in the water. He also said that his brother couldn’t swim. The deceased was the fifth of six brothers and studied in the IX. Class.
