Hindi cinema keeps pace with visual effects

Once upon a time VFX was a new word for Bollywood but now Hindi cinema is moving into a new era with VFX.

How the fire comes out of a hand and enters the chest of the person in front, this is the wonder of visual effects. In the field of technology in Bollywood, everything is being done to provide quality entertainment to the audience.

In such a situation, we tell you all the important things related to VFX, which you may not know.

What is VFX after all?

The full form of VFX is Visual Effects. It is a computer software technology that has revolutionized filmmaking and acting.

In simple words, it can be said that VFX is used to bring any movie or its scene to life, to make it look attractive.

Using this, the scenes shown in the movies are so real and clear, as if something like this is really happening.

Types of visual effects

The VFX process can be divided into three parts.

The first part is CGI (Computer Generated Image). In this, 2D and 3D images or backgrounds are created with the help of a computer.

Second is compositing, where the VFX artist combines multiple images/videos into a single image/video. This is also called chroma encoding.

The third part is motion capture, where any actor is digitally recorded. It is then transferred to the model created by CGI.

This software makes the best VFX

The list of the best software for creating VFX includes Nuke, Maya, Mari, RealFlow, Shotgun, Adobe, and Redshift, while Blender VFX, Hitfilm Express, 4D Cinema, Fusion, and Autodesk Maya are some of the free VFX software.

How are visual effects used in movies?

Before applying visual effects to any scene in the movie, the director and artist shoot that scene.

When the artist is performing, a curtain of green or blue color is placed behind him.

After that, your background is completely changed with the help of VFX software.

Then a scene unfolds that is beyond imagination and cannot be done in reality.

Producer-director, storyteller and audience, who benefits and how much?

If we talk in terms of writer or director, then with the advent of VFX, they have complete freedom to come up with amazing scenes.

Previously, during the filming of dangerous scenes, the hero’s life was in danger, but VFX has made his job much easier, while through this technology, the audience can watch exciting scenes.

On the other hand, the filmmakers don’t have to put a lot of effort into creating the background of the film.

Movies Are Getting A New Attitude Due To The VFX Trend

Although computer graphics has been used in movies since the 1990s, by 2022, it has touched new dimensions.

Bollywood cannot escape the fascination of visual effects. A significant part of the budget is being spent on this. The level of greatness in movies has become very high.

It is often heard that the movie is delayed due to VFX. Today VFX is used in approximately 80 percent of movies.

Typically a team of 100-1500 people run VFX.

Different artists work to give visual effects to any scene. This may require 100 to 1,500 people.

If the film is packed with VFX, 40 to 50 percent of the film’s budget is spent on VFX.

Adding visual effects is a lot of hard work. For this one has to work on every frame and there can be 24 or more frames in a second of video.

VFX changed the look of these movies.

Both ‘Bahubali’ movies would not have been possible without VFX. ‘Krrish 3’ is one of the best Bollywood VFX movies. VFX is the soul of the recently released ‘Brahmastra’.

‘Ra One’ and ‘Dhoom 3’ surprised with their incredible visual effects. Rajinikanth’s amazing action sequences in ‘2.0’ were shot with the help of VFX.

This technique was also widely used in ‘Tanhaji’, ‘RRR’, ‘Padmavat’, ‘Fan’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘Kick’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.

Crores of rupees are being spent on VFX on Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan’s movie ‘Fighter’. The visual effects have been taken care of to the maximum in Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’.
