Thalapathy Vijay’s father unhappy with director Nelson; Says film depends entirely on son’s ‘stardom’

Thalapathy Vijay’s recent film Beast clashed with Yash starrer KGF 2. Both the films got good response from the audience. KGF 2 also proved to be a huge hit with the box office numbers breaking many records. The Beast has managed to do well in some parts of India. Now this film is in discussion because of Thalapathy Vijay’s father SA Chandrashekhar. He who is also a filmmaker appeared disappointed with the director of the Beast – Nelson Dilipkumar. In an interview, SA Chandrashekhar slammed Nelson and said that the film completely built upon his son’s stardom. SA Chandrasekhar was reportedly quoted from a Tamil news channel as saying that the film Beast had no script and the director had not done his research well. He said, “I enjoyed Arbi Kuthu as a die-hard fan. But, Beast was completely dependent on Vijay’s stardom. The film had a serious theme about international terrorist organizations. There has to be magic in the script. Where is that? ? The director has to study how the military works. He should know how a RAW agent behaves. Thalapathy Vijay and his father SA Chandrasekhar are said to have had a different relationship. In a recent interview with India Today, while promoting Beast, Vijay had opened up about it and said, “There is a difference between a father and God. We cannot see God but we can see our own. Can see the father. Even though I had a rough patch with him, I am still his devoted son.”
