Shahid Kapoor wishes Holika Dahan: ‘We light this fire to mark the victory of good over evil’

Holi, the festival of colours, is celebrated with traditional fervor across the country. Drenched in colour, people enjoy the festival, and the most special part of the celebration is enjoying thandai with gujiyas. The festivities have started with Holika Dahan. And our Bollywood stars along with their families are celebrating the occasion with great enthusiasm and joy. Speaking of which, Shahid Kapoor and his family also celebrated Holika Dahan, a ritual that marks the victory of good over evil.

The ‘Udta Punjab’ actor took to his social media handle to wish his fans a very happy Holika Dahan. Sharing a picture from the ceremony, Shahid wrote, “It is the night of Holika Dahan and we light this fire to mark the victory of good over evil and welcome the season of spring. Happy Holi to all!” Shahid wrote. Apart from Shahid, Navya Nanda, Shilpa Shetty and other celebrities also shared glimpses of their celebrations. Neetu Kapoor remembered her late husband and actor Rishi Kapoor on the special occasion.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor recently shot for an advertisement together. Apart from this, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Jersey which is all set to release on the silver screen in April. Jersey is directed by three South Indian filmmakers Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Aman Gill. The film which also stars Mrunal Thakur was scheduled to release in December last year but due to rising COVID-19 cases the release date was pushed. Note that this is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name starring Nani.
