In an exclusive interview with The Deadline on the sidelines of the film festival, Shah Rukh Khan revealed how he felt working on the Dunki sets. He said, “The name of my movie in English would be Gadha. But the way a part of India pronounces the word, it is ‘Dunky’. Punjabis call it Danki. How much should I tell you about the film… Hmmm… It is a film directed by one of the most prolific filmmakers in our country, Raju Hirani. It is written by a brilliant author Abhijit Joshi. This is the story of people who want to go home when the call comes.
“It’s a comedy movie. His (Mr Hirani) movies are always a mix of comedy and a lot of emotion about the country. So, it’s a big journey for me and the film travels through different regions of the world and finally comes back to India,” he said.
